The Margaret River Region

Margaret River is a very well loved and visited town in the South West of Western Australia, it is the flagship town and the reason for the name of the Region. 

Almost 300kms south of Perth, Margaret River has grown tremendously in the last decade, it has 1.5 million visitors+ every year and is one of Australia’s most popular destinations.

Amongst the locals "Margs" is the way to which Margaret River is casually referred.

Margaret River is easily accessed from the North via Busselton, Dunsborough or Yallingup, and is on the route for anyone travelling north from Augusta along the Bussel Highway.

The coast to the west of Margaret River Town is known worldwide as a great surfing location, with world wide notoriety for its surf breaks, notably Prevelley.  Surfers Point at Prevelley is the spot to watch the locals catching waves. Margaret River is known for great surf.
